Growing up, I loved watching movies. It's not a particularly unique pastime. However, the older I grew, the greater my fascination with the big screen. At one point I'm pretty sure I wanted to be an actor! Even now going to the cinema is possibly one of my favourite things to do. And the more I watched, the more I began to critique what was unfolding before my very eyes.

Eventually added to the love of movies, was the most popular form of visual media; Television. I would start watching a number of different TV shows, and again my critiquing abilities began to kick in. Friends and family would want my recommendations on what show to next binge!

The one thing that I realized in all of this was that the genre which called out to me the most was Superhero shows and films. Perhaps that love started when I would watch Spider-man and X-men cartoons with my little brother. Or perhaps modern greats like 'The Dark Knight' completely engulfed me in awe. One thing was certain. For me to understand this genre completely, I would need to study the source material and I began to read comic books.

This project is for anyone who is looking for opinions, perhaps chasing a recommendation or embarking on a mission of education regarding graphic novels and their greater influence on media.
