COMIC BOOK REVIEW - Green Lantern: Revenge of Black Hand

From one Space Corps to another, although this time we’re going back to DC. In the last novel, ‘Sinestro’, we had our titular hero having to help Sinestro. Having lost his own ring, Hal Jordan was at the mercy of Sinestro, being forced to use a puppet ring which had no power of its own.

‘Revenge of the Black Hand’ sees Hal being forced by Sinestro back into action. However, no sooner has Hal accepted before the Indigo Tribe turn

s up, kidnapping both of them. It seems that the Indigo Tribe is made up of all the worst criminals in the universe who, with the aid of the indigo light, feel remorse, and it is their intention to do the same to Sinestro. When this plan inadvertently fails, the Indigo Tribe are released from this power, but not before Black Hand, the mastermind behind the Blackest Night escapes from them!

I really liked this novel for a number of reasons. The first is that I love when we get to see the other Lantern Corps, and the Indigo Tribe has always been so mysterious. On the part of the relationship between Hal and Sinestro, I also felt that their mutual respect always makes their rivalry so interesting.

The artwork was pretty good, and I liked some of the covers too. Overall, a good addition to the series, and I’m excited to see what is to come!

Hal. It’s so easy to see why he’s remained the main Green Lantern for all these years!
