‘The Face of Greed’ follows the story and Larfleeze having not been destroyed by these “Gods” is furious at their actions. The novel introduces a few more siblings in the House of Tuath-Dan, all of whom realize that Larfleeze is going to pose a problem to their attempt to conquer this Universe. The final showdown occurs on a planet called “Sorrow”, where the inhabitants have managed to contact one of the Green Lanterns, called G’nort to come and sort the situation out.
OK. So I remember that after the last Larfleeze novel, I was left extremely confused. After this novel, I wasn’t confused, just a little baffled as to the point of this comic series. I mean there’s hilarity and then there’s just downright uselessness. I didn’t enjoy this novel.
The artwork was again, extremely cartoon-like which I guess served the point of the tone that this novel was going for. The covers were a little more lifelike, and I chose the one above because it was a pretty good team-up! Overall, I felt like this series was just a tad unnecessary, and I’m not sure I’ve gained anything from reading it, except to know that Larfleeze is way more powerful than he’s given credit for!
